*Parent/Carer always welcome to stay in consulting room during session.
Hypnosis is safe for a child or young person. They live in a fantasy world for much of their waking hours and so enter a trance state with ease. They are easier to hypnotise than adults becase they readily access their unconscious mind.
Hypnotherapists often see children and young people for:
- Anxiety
- Bedwetting (achieving dry nights)
- Fears/ Nightmares
- Confidence Building
(and see Eating Disorders page)
*Never pressure a child into therapy - decide together.
*Always check out the therapist first
*Ensure they have an enhanced CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau) and have been cleared to work with children.
